ASUS Eee Pad EP121 to be unveiled

Asus Lamborghini VX6 Netbook - Dual Core Atom

The Asus Eee PC VX6 Lamborghini is one of the fastest netbooks around. With its dual-core Intel Atom D525 (1.80 GHz), DDR3 RAM and dedicated Nvidia Ion 2 graphics (GT 218 core), it easily puts Intel’s single-core netbooks in the shade. But in terms of overall system performance, an AMD system (Athlon K125, Aspire One 521, 10-inch) is roughly on a level will this Intel hot-shot.

The Asus G53JW more or less follows in the footsteps of the success of the bigger G73. When it comes to the case the advantages of the 17 inch model become apparent time and again, and manifest themselves in the attractive design with completely matte surfaces, and the omitted disturbing lighting effects.
The display is clearly intended for one purpose: 3D. Brightness and contrast are good, and the reflective display surface has to be accepted due to a lack of alternatives.
Together with the adopted hardware; a quad-core CPU from Intel (720QM) and the GTX 460M graphics card from Nvidia, the G53 has the same foundations as the Asus G73. The hardware allows even 3D images, and the corresponding reduction of maximum frame rates, to be represented with high graphics details smoothly enough. The 3D experience can definitely be described as impressive, but will likely not be a consideration for serious gamers.

Asus Eee PC 1015PEM Netbook - Specs & Images

The Asus Eee PC 1015PEM leaves a good impression. The new Intel Atom N550 accelerates simple office tasks and Windows 7 Starter's performance noticeably. But it doesn't supply more performance for games and HD videos. If you want to also enjoy HD videos and games on a netbook, you should look out for a HD decoder or a stronger graphic unit.
The battery life is designed a slight bit shorter than that of the single core netbooks due to the somewhat higher power consumption. It nevertheless remains to be within an attractive range with 6-7 hours in practical use. All in all, the Asus 1015PEM is an attractive N550 starter device with the usual equipment, good office performance and a fair price of 349 euro including added value tax (RRP).

Asus ATi Cards with Voltage Tweak Technology - First of its kind

Asus released cards ASUS EAH5870/2DIS/1GD5 and EAH5850/2DIS/1GD5 in India. These are the worlds's first to utilize voltage tweak technology which can boost the performance of the cards by about 38% (as reported).

Both the cards with 40nm processors and GDDR5 memomry, can deliver faster processing power and greater system performance. These cards come with full support for DirectX 11 and for windows 7. These cards also integrate into them the native display port and Eyefinity technology which enables up to 3 displays to be run from a single card.
The voltage tweaking and overclocking is done using an application SmartDoctor. This application enables users to raise GPU voltages from 1.15V to 1.35V and from 1.088V to 1.4V boosting GPU and memory clock performance from 850 / 725 MHz to 1035 / 1050 MHz and from 4800 / 4000 MHz to 5200 / 5200 MHz respectively. This application can be used to overclock other cards in the EAH5800 series graphics cards.
The new technology would allow gamers and other graphic power hungry users to utilize their cards to the maximum by overclocking.

Asus Eee PC 1201n - Netbook Announcement

 


ASUS is coming up with a netbook ( or notebook - i do not see any difference) making a difference from its usual 11-inch size limit. This one is 12-inch and has Nvidia ION platform in it. The netbook model is Eee PC 1201n.

Asus unveils P7P55D Series Hybrid Motherboards

Asus has announced five new hybrid motherboards based on Intel P55 Express chipsets. With support for new LGA 1156 socket, the new P7P55D series motherboards are made using their Xtreme Design philosophy. Asus boasts of P7P55D series motherboards including Hybrid Technology which consists of Hybrid Processor, Hybrid Phase and Hybrid OS.
Asus boasts that the Intel P55 Express chipset, along with its 'Hybrid' technology, will enable advanced overclocking and improved power management. Asus also says the P7P55D Series is its first to support 6Gbps SATA I/O bandwidth.

In this technology, the Hybrid Processor will let users attain higher level overclocking performance with the

Intel CPUs and Asus TurboV EVO, which works as the second processor. With the Auto Tuning tool, the system can be overclocked to an extreme yet stable state. Automatic overclocking tools like Auto System Level Up and real-time tweaking via TurboV Evo can be achieved for optimizing system performance. Asus TurboV Remote comes installed only on Premium and Deluxe motherboards.

The T-Probe microchip automatically switches power phase depending on the temperature and system load in real-time. Along with Stack Cool 3+, T-Probe serves as a power management tool for real-time power monitoring and controlling system performance as well as temperature.

The Hybrid OS feature integrates Windows' readiness to upgrade to Windows 7 along with Asus ExpressGate that gives access to common online apps in five seconds.

ASUS Xtreme Design P6TD Deluxe Core i7 motherboard

ASUS have announced their latest “Xtreme Design” series ‘board, the P6TD Deluxe, and while the box design may be sober the spec-sheet certainly isn’t. Core i7 and Core i7 Extreme CPU compatibility, up to 24GB of DDR3 2000 RAM supported over six DIMM slots and three PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots make for a capable, compact motherboard.

ASUS have added Stack Cool3+ cooling which apparently uses an “enhanced PCB layer” to better dissipate heat; there’s also optional liquid-cooling and various overclocking systems.

Connectivity includes dual gigabit ethernet, NVIDIA SLI and ATI CrossFireX support, eSATA and FireWire ports, eight USB 2.0 ports (and headers for a further six), optical and coaxial S/PDIF ports and six SATA 3Gb/s ports. No word on availability or pricing, as is ASUS’ usual wont.
