ASUS is coming up with a netbook ( or notebook - i do not see any difference) making a difference from its usual 11-inch size limit. This one is 12-inch and has Nvidia ION platform in it. The netbook model is Eee PC 1201n.
Asus Eee PC 1201n has
- 12-inch display screen
- 1366x768 pixel resolution supporting 720p HD content
- 1.6GHz Intel Atom processors
- up to 2GB memory
- 250GB SATA 5400RPM HDD
- WiFi (802.11 b/g/n)
- Bluetooth and Ethernet
- a 1.3 megapixel webcam comes built-in
- 6-cell battery
The NVidia ION technology in this netbook also packs with it an Nvidia GeForce 9400M graphics chip in it. The GeForce 9400M is capable of playing 1080p HD content and supports other Nvidia technologies like PureVideo HD, PhysX and CUDA.
With the 6 cell battery, the netbook gives a backup of about 11 hours. Eee PC 1201n will come pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium. Asus hasn't let out much details on its cost or about its launching ( expected by late october ).
