The Samsung QX310 is a well-rounded 13.3" subnotebook with a powerful Intel Core i5 460M dual-core CPU.  The entry-level Nvidia GeForce 310M (512MB) does not bring much to the table in terms of gaming on the go.  Despite the impressive CPU performance, the case always remains cool and the fan spins quietly or shuts off entirely.  The Samsung Silent Mode once again proves itself to be a success. 

The battery life is impressive considering the powerful Core i5 performance.  4.5 hours for using the internet via WiFi, 4 hours 11 minutes watching DVDs.  Turning off the dedicated Nvidia 310 GPU via Nvidia Optimus contributes a good deal to the especially long battery life in idle mode.  On top of that, the soldered-in lithium-polymer battery has capacity of 61 watt-hours.

With the R530, Samsung has created a 15.6-incher suited for office duties at an attractive price just in time for the Christmas season. The Pentium-T4500  processor (2 x 2.3 GHz) provides respectable performance which is above that of low-end single-core configurations.

The grippy and impervious case impressed with its pattered surfaces.  Yet the case can't get fully away from a slightly stiff cheap-plastic-feel. But, the matte construction is a step in the right direction.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is here. One of the most noticeable differences when comparing the two devices (Tab And iPad) is that the iPad is a good deal smoother and sleeker than the Galaxy Tab.  This makes the Samsung's price, which is higher than that of the already expensive iPad, all the more irritating.  This high price is exactly what keeps the Galaxy Tab from attaining perfection and is altogether incomprehensible.

The Galaxy Tab does have some very good points like its various pre-installed software, up-to-date Android 2.2 operating system, convenient built-in digital camera, frontcam for video chatting and of course its full functionality as a cell phone.  That is, a bunch of areas in which the Apple iPad is no worse off. The iPad's strong dependency on iTunes software is a major criticism that the Galaxy Tab avoids.  It's quickly recognized as a storage device via USB.  Transferring files is as easy as copy and paste.  Automatic updates, like those during every synchronization with iTunes, are lacking, however.

Samsung NF310 - Dual Core Netbook in Style ( Shark Design)

Samsung has assembled an optically and technically interesting 10.1 inch Netbook for 395 Euros with the NF310. The performance advantage (57% CPU benchmark, 31% total performance) thanks to the Atom dual core N550 (2 x 1.5 GHz), makes a good impression providing for smoother operating compared to the N450/N455.

The missing hardware support of the GMA-3150 graphics however still prevents smooth representation of high resolution 1080p videos. The maximum possible 720p played back from the hard drive, is just about possible with a high CPU load. Concerns regarding a shorter battery life due to the more power hungry dual core turn out to be unfounded (WLAN surfing 5.54 hours).

Samsung has released their line Memory cards which offer greater security and durablitiy. The memory cards released by Samsung are water-resistant, shock resistant and is protected from magnetic interference. These cards can retain the data stored in it for 10 years without the need of refreshing its memory.

These cards come in a brushed silver metallic design or a natural beige epoxy compound shell. They have Secure Digital 6 ratings and are offered in microSD, SD and Compact Flash (CF) formats with capacities of 4GB and 8GB with a 16GB density for an SD Plus card.

Samsung Omnia i900 will now get a Windows Mobile 6.5 update, reveals Ubergizmo. This update will be made available absolutely free of cost.

The other specifications of the Omnia i900 haven't changed. The Omnia i900 includes a 3.2-inch WQVGA touchscreen and a 5 MP autofocus camera. This camera incorporates various features like WDR, face recognition, smile recognition, image stabilizer, geo-tagging and Auto-Panorama Shot. Boasting of an internal memory of 8GB and a microSD slot to expand it, this handset supports various connectivity features likes GPS, Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi and HSDPA.
