Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Concept Model revealed @ Paris 2010 Motor Show

The Light-weight Lamborghini Sesto Elemento is just 999Kg and was unveiled in the 2010 Paris Motor Show. Sesto Elemento has a power-to-weight ratio of 1.75kg/bhp, 0-100kph acceleration of 2.5 seconds and a top speed of well over 300kph.

It gets its name from the sixth element in the periodic table, carbon, which it uses most lavishly. Sant'Agata Bolognese has mastered carbon fibre across a range of technologies, using the material for the monocoque tub, front sub-frame, body panels, crumple zones and even suspension components and the five spoke rims.

Lamborghini went with composites for the prop shaft and Pyrosic, which is an advanced glass-ceramic matrix composite, for the tailpipes that shoot upwards from below the rear wing supports.
