Dodge Challenger Back in 70s

The Dodge Challenger retains its curves from the 70s bringing back memories of the legendary ‘pony car' for its fans. The version of the Dodge Challenger available in UAE is the SRT-8. SRT stands for ‘Street and Racing Technology' - Chrysler's performance and tuning group.

It comes with a larger 6.1 litre V8 Hemi engine instead of the 5.7 litre V8 Hemi that powers the RT version. The 6.1 litre V8 produces 425 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque and that's quite a lot for a 1,892kgroad car. What's really appealing about pony cars to most enthusiasts is the availability of power and performance at considerably lower prices as compared to most Japanese and European rivals. In most cases, they look a lot better too.

The 0-100km/h sprint time isless than 5 seconds and the rear-wheel drive system makes it a lot more enjoyable. The 425 horsepower that the rear wheels are fed makes this car a wild beast and it is more so with the ESP off. But on straight roads at highway speeds, the Challenger suddenly feels like a tamed beast.
