Seagate GoFlex External Drives for Mac Users - Images, Cost, Details

The 2.5” GoFlex for Mac Limited Edition ultra-portable drive enables users to travel back in time and access changes or file updates before they were made with Apple’s Time Machine, figuratively speaking. A 2.5” drive that spins at 7,200rpm and clocks up faster transfer speeds than USB 2.0 with the supplied FireWire 800 cable is what the GoFlex Pro for Mac ultra portable claims to be.

Each of the drives are HFS+ formatted for compatibility with Time Machine, although they can still be used with Windows. Should users choose to employ a Mac drive for a Windows PC, an HFS+ driver for Windows can be downloaded from the Seagate website in order to do just this. Also bundled in with these storage devices that come backed by three-year warranties are FireWire 800 and USB 2.0 adapters.

The 500GB GoFlex Pro for Mac ultra portable can be picked up for $149.99, while the 750GB version costs $179.99. $219.99 and $279.99 price labels have been attached to the 2TB and 3TB GoFlex Desk for Mac drives, correspondingly. The 1TB and 1.5TB GoFlex for Mac ultra-portable drives ship for $199.99 and $249.99, respectively. Lastly, the GoFlex for Mac Limited Edition ultra-portable drive is priced at $199.95 for 1TB.
