2009 Nissan Land Glider Concept - A real Concept Car

Nissan Land Glider Concept a real 'CONCEPT' car in every aspect. The shape and the looks are conceptual and also is the technical aspects of the car. The Nissan's Design team took a look at the Fish ( yeah u read it correct and its not a mistake, it is the fish ) to get the concept of safety issues of the car. This is a car/bike hybrid. The meaning of which will be understood as you hear its functioning.

The Land Glider is powered by two electric motors in the rear fed by lithium-ion batteries and can seat 2 passengers. The land glider do not have a steering wheel to do the handling. The Land Glider features steering-by-wire and leaning capability through corners — like a motorcycle.

This enables the whole ‘car' and its tyres to tilt. In turn, cornering speeds are improved, aided by sensors that calculate velocity, steering angle and yaw rate to instantly feed the amount of lean required for a specific bend. The safety of the car and passengers are determined by a set of sensors on the body which will detect other vehicles and change the Land Glider's path away from danger ( as a fish never collides with one another ).

Now thats a real conceptual car which the Nissan have built and is small enough to be easily placed in the busy roads of this era. The Nissan Land Glider Concept can go 160km on 1 full charge (more than enough for a normal day i guess).
