Toyota has launched the 2010 4Runner in the US. 4Runner a truck based SUV has now evolved to its best, having improved in performance, comfort and convinience. The 5th generation 4Runner has a promised future in its sector giving the feel of a mid-sized truck based SUV and still staying on its off-roader capabilities.
Besides having more power, the 4Runner is more versatile when compared to the FJ Cruiser and is more rugged when compared to the Highlander. It has a of body-on-frame construction and the different drivetrain configurations are full-time multi-mode 4×4 with a locking center differential, rear wheel 4×2 and part-time 4×4.
The 4×4 models of this SUV come with a 4.0-liter V6 engine along with a five-speed ECT-i automatic transmission. As for the 4×2 models, the car will feature a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine along with to a four-speed ECT automatic or a 4.0-liter V6 mated to a five-speed ECT-i automatic. Seven-person capacity can be obtained by third-row seats (which are optional).
This 80s introduced vehicle, in 2010 will come in three models. One is the Trail grade, the others being the well-equipped SR5 and a top-of-the-line Limited edition.
